Elemental Forces by James Loftus
The classic California landscape is one of the cornerstones of North American photography. As this once pristene land becomes diminished by over building and vandelism, it is more important than ever to take inventory of this very diverse part of the Americas. Elemental Forces reveals the beauty that everyday is becoming more endangered.

Sin Fronteras or “Without Borders” is a series of photographic works captured along the Rio Grande. As well as a geographical wonder, this river also serves as a political borderline between Texas and Mexico. Ñundeui by Mario Mutschlechner
In these photographs I limit myself to few colors: the green of the vegetation, color of fertility, abundance and tranquillity, the blue of the naguas, color of the sky, the spiritual world and dreams and the moreno of the skin, color of the earth, warm and sensual, and in the words of Gauguin in Tahiti “ the gold of their bodies. “ Complementary to this world in peace appears the red of the necklaces and fajas, the color of warning, passion and danger.

In Chiapas, the masked ones unmasked for a time, the centers of power which was in the hands of destroyers of forests and exploiters of people. The Zapatista rebellion exposed this power which not only reigned in Mexico, but continues in several places in the Americas today. The Zapatistas were a much needed cry in the darkness and now at this time and place, it may be best to look back to their movment... as we move forward.
